The way we work

The Phone call

The Clinic is open after business hours and is meant that can't wait until the first following working day of your own family doctor.
If you need urgent medical care, first  contact an  After Hours General Practitioners Clinic  in your area by phone:

For long-term existing complaints, which have not become more serious, and for

repeat recipes  you can not use The After Hours General Practitioners Clinic.

Professional assistant:

When you phone you will get to speak with a doctors assistant. The assistant will

discuss with you the medical complaints and will ask for your data. If you phone for

someone else the assistant will ask for that person's data. The doctors assistant is specially trained in order to be able to discus your medical complaints and to judge which kind of care you, or the person for whom you phone, will need.

When necessary, she'll advise you in relation to self-care: she will confer with the doctor on duty in more serious cases.

Necessary data

Ensure you have the following data at hand before you phone. This data is necessary for  the progression of your request for help.

  • Name and initials of the patient, date of birth and address
  • The phone number from which you call
  • The name of the patient's own doctor or clinic
  • Name and insurance number of the patient's current healthcare insurance - or copy of your European Healthcare Card
  • Name of the medicines possibly used by the patient
  • Signs and symptoms of the patient such as temperature and blood pressure, or the like, but also any relevant medical history.

The conversation will be recorded

The phone conversation with the assistant or doctor will always be recorded and saved. If you were to have a complaint regarding the  assistance given shall the conversations conducted with you be retrieved and assessed.

Also, conversations will be retrieved

to Judge whether conversations take place in the correct manner.

The recorded conversations are handled with utmost confidentiality and covered by medical professional  secrecy.
